Istitute of Molecular Biology and Pathology - National Research Council

Sapienza University of Rome - Edificio Fisiologia Generale P. le A.Moro 5, 00185 Roma

I was enrolled as an IBPM researcher in 2011 and I joined Sergio Nasi’s lab, bringing my experience in the epigenetic control of gene expression, with particular regard to chromatin remodelling mechanisms regulating cell differentiation and carcinogenesis. In particular, the main interests of my research are:

  • A better understanding of those gene regulatory circuits, depending on macromolecular chromatin remodelling complexes, which are disregulated in cancer cells
  • The epigenetic control of self-renewal and tumorigenic properties of Cancer Stem Cells
  • The identification of new molecular, epigenetic partners of the Myc oncoprotein and the functional characterization of Myc-containing chromatin remodelling complexes in tumour cells
