CURRENT POSITION

Research technician  - Technical assistant  to research activities of  the group led by Dr. Patrizia Somma.

Main research activities - molecular and cellular biology approaches  to  investigate eukaryotic cell division, in  particular mitosis, using the fruitfly Drosohila melanogaster as model system.

Different  experimental procedures  (PCR, dsRNA synthesis, insects and mammalian cell cultures, RNA interference,  IF preparations)  to deeply study and analize  functions and behaviours of different proteins involved in mitotic process: spindle assembly, cytokinesis, chromosome segregation.

Partecipation to IBPM secretarial work, i.e. management of  human resources by:

-      setting up all the procedures for  temporary posistions at  the Institute: drafting of public calls and attending  their whole progress;

-      being responsible for IBPM staff attendance registration and management service; monthly updating to the Central Staff Office through the informatic system
