General research interest is the role of epigenetic and post-transcriptional mechanisms in gene expression control.

Current Research activities:
  • analysis of miRNA mediated post-transcriptional regulation in the nervous system, in stress related behavior and pathologies;
  • study of miRNA and RBP crosstalk mechanisms;
  • characterization of gene espression in autism spectrum disorder with particular  focus on microRNAs and circRNAs;
  • chemical and post-transcriptional control of JARID1 HDMs in human breast cancer cell lines
